F.L. Spafford

Spafford Hall was built on Northern State University’s campus in the mid 1920s. It was named for this man, Dr. Frederick A. Spafford. He was a medical doctor for most of his life and is honored in the South Dakota Hall of Fame. The painting is about 30 x 36. The painting is described in an Exponent article (Northern’s campus newspaper). It is signed, F.C. Ashford.
