In the fall of 2021, Meleah Ashford of Oregon visited a relative and discovered this painting that she shared with us. She says it a painting of Violet Ashford, Frank’s sister-in-law, under a tree picking up walnuts. It is assumed to be at or near their Salem, Oregon farm. The painting is approximately 22×18”. It is signed, Ashford 1950.
